Hello, sorry if this post looks a little ugly, but Im typing this via phone. I have had a build with a SanDisk Ultra Plus SSD for over a year now and it finally decided to crap out. I've removed it and I have noticed that if I touch the bottom where the screws go in, it sends an unpleasant electrical current down my arm even when the computers power is off and the plug to the power supply is removed. This could explain why for past 2-3 weeks when I touch a metallic part of my computer, I would feel the same current, since it was screwed on the metalic casing. I painstakingly tested touching my computer with and without the sdd plugged into my computer, and I wasn't electicuted when it wasn't plugged in). And yes, I'm a dumba** for not checking earlier, because I thought it was just a wire on the computer that was somehow touching the metallic shell in a way that would electicute me, which I don't think is even possible. But to be fair, I wouldn't have guessed it was the SSD since it was working perfectly until one day it just stopped working.

When I turn on my pc, it kinda doesnt detect it. I noticed in the bios menu and on boot up, if I leave the SSD SATA cord plugged in, along with my slave drive and CD drive, it will take a minute at the first black screen with text relating to detecting SATA ports, versus if I remove the SSD SATA, it will take 2 seconds as usual. Oddly enough, if I only have the SSD plugged in, it will only take 2 seconds, but will not detect anything.

So basically, I'm probably screwed, and my last hope is to see if my dearest members of Tomshardware will help! (Yeah, this is my first post, but I lurk around a lot)

So you guys got anything, or did my stupidness shoot me in the foot?
