I've posted many times and no one responds to me about helping me to pick out all the parts I'd need to make a custom cooler and loop myself. The internet is not remotely clear on what's what for radiators and pumps and coolers and I'm so tired of reading the same basic thing over and over from beginners manuals and forums which doesn't tell me a thing or is to specific to apply to me.
What I really need is someone to help me pick all the parts I'd need for a custom radiator based on my needs since I've learned how to install it all.
What I want:
360 radiator with triple 120mm fans or larger up to 480mm, all custom
My goals:
1) Cool my i7-5960X enough so I can overclock it from 3GHz base to 5GHz or close to it
2) Assuming it's needed or even possible yet, I want to cool my 2x Gigabyte Gaming G1 4GB Nvidia 980s SLI
If it's a good idea, I'd want a bigger radiator to cool both CPU and GPU, and leave the rest of the fan mount areas for intakes/exhaust. OR I can simply get a smaller radiator for the CPU and a second radiator for the GPU's, assuming that the 980's will ever get a compatible block.
I have some knowledge but no real expertise. This is why I'm calling on experienced people to know what I really want based on my needs and offer great suggestions that won't make me regret trying to do everything myself with limited knowledge.
