Can I use only one slot of ram?

My laptop has 2GB+2GB RAM, but last week one RAM got damaged. So my question is, can I use my laptop with 2GB RAM only? Would it create another problem because I am using only one RAM slot now!? Could it also damage my another RAM?

Yes. The only problem will be that your computer will perform slower, and will not be able to open as many programs as it could simultaneously.

Yes, the laptop will run a lot slower than before. You won't be able to multi - task as much. It will depend on how the ram got damaged. There is a potential that the other ram slot can get damaged. I would swap the damaged ram if it is possible to make sure.
