I am currently running crossfire r9 270s with 3 27" monitors in eyefinity.

I recently purchased a UHD 4k res 55" which is mounted on a nearby wall. I want the option to use it as a monitor but I don't need it as a standalone monitor.

I am perfectly content with it simply being a duplicate of one of my other monitors. The only 5760X1080 thing I use is my desktop background, I run everything in 1920X1080. So if the TV mimicked 1 of the monitors in the setup, it would work for what I want.

Is this achievable with just a DVI splitter or is it more involved? Does it need to be a powered splitter? Which one is best to split in a DVI/DVI/DP configuration?

Trying to get a little more info before I just start blindly spending money. Thanks.

so you want the T.V. to display the same thing as one of the monitors? Possible.

Just have the monitor you want to be copied connected with a DVI splitter (have the splitter in the graphics card port to which this monitor you want mimicked is currently in), just like you said. No power splitter is required. Just split the DVI.
