So I've finally gotten around to trying my TV out as a PC monitor to add it to my already used two AOC monitors, now the TV itself has four HDMI slots, A PC/DVI input, and a VGA slot. The GPU I'm using is a gtx 770 with the following inputs: 1xHDMI, 1xDisplay Port, 1x DVI-I and 1xDVI-D.

Currently I'm using I believe the DVI-D and the HDMI input.

Now my question is this: Can I get an adaptor such as this, and everything would be alright? Would it change the quality down from using HDMI to HDMI? Refresh rate including? I do plan on using the TV for gaming.

Even though Displayport can carry audio, I'm not sure the graphics card will actually output audio through anything other than HDMI. I'm quite certain it won't, actually. Other than that, it will definitely work, no quality loss.

Oh thats wonderful then, sound wasn't even a concern of mine as I use a soundcard with speakers anyway, so that's awesome. Thanks for the quick and helpful response!

HDMI, dp, dvi are all digital, and the quality should all be fine. Avoid only vga.

If you want tv sound, connect the tv via hdmi and the other two via dvi.

Otherwise it should not matter.

Once you go past 1080P then you might reconsider.
