Hi all,
I have an Asus DirectCU II GTX 780 Ti and if I set it to the factory overclock (1020MHz/7000MHz) it overheats! I have it next to a 650gtx (dedicated physx) and in a Zalman Z11 plus. As for cooling, I don't have any fans near the GPU, except the DC2 built in ones. How do I stop this from happening - for now, setting it to 960MHz on the core seems to help. I have an XFX Pro 650W PSU.

Thanks,

Dovahkitty

It happens anyway. :( And I find the 650 does give a nice fps boost in Watch_Dogs, Borderlands 2 and Metro, so I think that it is worth keeping in there, as I play those games pretty often.

While idling:

CPU: 34 GPU: 38

While running Minecraft (vSync enabled)

CPU: 54 GPU (960MHz): 32 (fans going at higher speed) GPU (1045MHz): 37

I did it again. Do you know how to unselect the answer?

Anyway, Battlefield 4, maxxed out:

GPU (factory overclock): max: 73
CPU: makx: 70

Dovahkitty, those temps are pretty resonable.
I jumped in here because of the question about an answer. what answer do you want to 'unselect' and in what post?
When you reply, include the link to the post/thread.

Ok, thanks for fixing it (if that was you). It seems to have gone back to unsolved. But other games, like Metro 2033, it crashes almost instantaneously.

Try the setting in NV control panel : Adjust image settings with preview : Let the 3D application decide . Also remove Geforce Experience
