I'm thinking of purchasing a Motorola SB6121 cable modem and pair it with my UniFi LR Access Point. Since UniFi is a AP and not a router it will only act to extend the Ethernet port to a wireless access point.

Question is does the SB6121 act a router (NAT for IPv4 and pass through for IPv6) for my UniFi AP and will I be able to connect all devices in house through this combination?

Solution
You will need a router. You can generally tell the motorola devices that have routers in them by the part numbers. The modems start with just SB the routers say SBG. Ubiquiti make lots of products but if this can only run as a AP then you are stuck. I know some of their devices can run in multiple modes but I generally only use their outdoor bridge equipment.
