Hey all

So i installed the Kraken G10 onto my Palit Nvidia GTX 770 2GB GPU. Thinking all was okay I booted up the system, luckily I had the case open next to me! I noticed smoke coming off the GPU and instantly shut it down. I removed the bracket and checked over my card, I couldn't tell where the smoke came from as there seemed to be no damage done. I replaced the stock cooler and booted back into windows. THANKFULLY the card still works.
Has anyone experienced this? I was using the Corsair H55 water cooler on the GPU, I didn't even make it past the loading screen to check temps before I shut it all off, so I don't know if it's the cooler's problem or some design fault.

TLTR: Smoke coming from GPU after installing Kraken G10; has anyone experienced this issue before?

I think it could have been the vram? The psu unit from the corsair cooler had made a solid connection to the actual gpu.

The stock cooler came with heat sink strips for the vram, these don't stay on due to angle of the cards mounting (they fall off to the ground).
Could anyone suggest a means to solve this issue?

What I ended up doing is putting a tiny amount of Arctic Silver on each of the VRAM modules, as an adhesive, then placing the heat sink pads (that came with the original stock cooler) ontop. This solved the problem!
I've been running with an average temp of 25*C and no other issues so far detected.
