I have a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB and a WD Black 1TB, and a 40GB 2.5 HDD. I formated the 40GB one a while back so does this mean i do not need to make a partition for it because it has no option for it. But anyways, do i need to partition my SSD and HDD in Windows setup so i can use them and there is another thing above it called system reserve, what is it?

thats cover your answer in first couple sentence.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/gg441289.aspx partitions make faster get answers for programs find files, but its knowledge abouth partitions takes time and when your get corrupted aany files on your SSD or hard drive it recover its not easy.so i back up my data time by time and i didnt partition my hard drive or SSD.

Overall, no. The only reasons I partition anymore is when I only have one mechanical hard drive in the system, and I partition it to make a smaller drive for Windows and programs, and make the rest of the space a data partition. Now, since I'm also running Linux again, I currently got 4 partitions: one for Windows, one for data, one for Linux, and one for swap file.
