Hello,
I have a laptop with a HDMI out that I use a VGA adapter for because we haven't upgraded to HDMI cable yet. I connect to a projector that is mounted in the church sanctuary about 100 ft away and from the projector a TV is connected also. My projector has a HDMI outlet on it but I don't know if it is output or input as there is only one there. It is an InFocus IN112a projector. I am wanting to convert from VGA to HDMI but I need to make sure all my components will work with HDMI. Basically the projector has a computer and a TV connected to it. The computer controls what is seen on the projector screen and the TV. It is all currently VGA. I have a new laptop and TV that is HDMI and want to connect those to be able to work the whole setup. I guess what I am asking is will this projector work for HDMI connection or is it VGA only?? I called In Focus and they tell me it is VGA only output, is there anyway to make it work with HDMI, can we use an adapter or something?? Need help in the worse way. Our church was struck by lightning and it is setup on VGA and everything is going HDMI. I want to convert to HDMI but don't want to break the bank either. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated as I am banging my head against the wall!!! Thanks.
