I know a lot of people asked many times about the best GTX 970 brand and what is the best brand to get and so on
I personally believe that MSI is the best card in the series even though I am thinking about EVGA since my overall experiences with them were great while my experiences with Gigabyte were awful that's why I Don't think they are an option for me
That said
I want to ask if I should get reference cards for GTX 970 SLI or what brand should I go with for the setup since I am not going single card and that's were most review and benchmarks go it's hard to decide
So I would like to know what you think here
Thank you very much

both MSI and gigabyte are better to overclock and have better cooling then the others. so if you dont want gigabyte, get MSI, and if you're egtting evga, make sure it's the 2.0 version of the cooler. the first cooler had some flaws.

msi twim frzr and the evga acx 2.0 both seem to be the best cards right now. the reference design does blow heat out of the case and that is a major plus.

Thank you all for the quick answers
But I would like to know how would those cards perform in SLI
And is it better to get the 2 of them the same brand or get one brand and reference card together
And like I said the problem is there are no benchmarks for SLIs anywhere I looked

and those benchmarks are with reference cards. so imagine what you will get if you take the MSI ones or whatever and get a nice 1350ish MHz or more out of them.

So I am thinking I should get either a couple of EVGA 970 FTW or MSI 4G Gaming
Can you let me know if those are the best choices here or should I change something and No Gigabyte too big and bad experience with Gigabyte

I do want to ask what resolution screen are you running. If you are running a 1080p monitor then I would only get one of these cards as you will never be able to utilize the other cards GPU power.

as long as the EVGA card has the acx 2.0 cooler you are fine and any of the MSI will be good.

also what power supply are you running.

thermaltake 775w toughpower xt
And I have 1 1080p screen and getting 2 more with the cards but I fear they will be too much so I might actually get just 1 1440p and use this on something else not sure yet

so everything looks good. The thermaltakes are not my favorite power supplies but that one should suffice just fine. I would try just one gtx 970 for either a 1440p single monitor or even the three 1080p monitors before buying the second just to see if you really need it. I run a 1440p monitor with CF 7950's and they run very nicely and I think the gtx 970 is about the same as my CF setup.

I am actually waiting to get an EVGA gtx970 acx 2.0 from amazon when they become available again.

best of luck and I think the 970 is going to rock for you.
