So title says it all; both are the same price
My build is mostly for gaming, a lot of titles that both configs will excell at, however there are a few games that I would like to know which set up would probably do better in and I'd like to know by how much.

some of the games (most important to least) are:

Star Citizen (Alpha)/ Crysis 3 - Not a lot of details are out yet with 285 benchmarks so this is more of a cpu comparison with the GPU on the side but obviously it matters still and we can make assumptions . The most similar game to compare this to is crysis 3 so thats why I consider that an important game.
The GPU is heavily important due to the massive environment and extremely high details but the CPU I can imagine will be pushed just by the sheer size of the universe and everything that is going on. the 285 does have mantle going for it though and the 8320 also has 4 additional cores, and cryengine 3 actually uses those.

Battlefeild 4 - I'm not sure how this will match up because the i5 is much more powerful, but due to mantle support on the 285 it could make up for it if we aren't making a dx11 comparrison (which will be noted)

Recent AAA titles such as Shadow of mordor, Alien Iso, maybe older ones like metro and theif.

And finally, MMOs like WoW, Archeage, ESO, and the big one: Black Desert Online
I can imagine the i5 will stomp on the 8 core in this one because I believe it usually wins this battle but I dont have a source and have only seen that claim once (however I can say my r9 290 and 8350 [im downgrading yes] struggles in WoW somehow)

Also on another note, would the 8320 + 760 be a viable option? It is the cheapest combination of the 4 parts but how much performance would be compromised?

Solution
For r9 280, 285, 280x and gtx760, they are almost same, review for them. http://www.techspot.com/review/873-amd-radeon-r9-285/
I will go for the i5 + gtx770, because gtx770 will have similar price range. Or get the fx8320 + gtx970.
