So this is the situation. I have Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, which I suspect is not fully compatible with the Raidr express...
Speeds that CrystalDiskMark shows are approximately Read/write: 650MBs/370MBs . My question is next. Should I change the motherboard, or do anything else, cuz I really want to get the best out of Raidr. In case its somehow important my other components are: Intel i7 3770k, Gtx 770 Lighting. I would really appreciate any answer because this is really irritating problem to me. Plese Help. Best Regards

P.S If Mobo is the problem, I would probably want to get Maximus V Formula/ ThunderFX.

What version of RAID are you running (0,1,5,10, etc)?

Rarely will you get an outstanding performance increase utilizing 2-4 drives. The best results are with large RAID arrays. I use them at work all the time, and generally I start with a controller card (like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816103215), and I put 10-20 drives in an array to get the performance needed.

The onboard RAID or software RAID that is provided with most consumer based mobos are not on par with production controllers....Also in the large arrays, I keep a 30% stock of extra drives on hand for when one of the drives die.

Sorry, I don't know how to check which one I am using(if you can tell me how, ill find it) ... Just to be clear, i do have only 2 hard drives, and they are not in RAID. The problem is happening with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820785002&nm_mc=KNC-MSNSearch&cm_mmc=KNC-MSNSearch-_-Solid%20State%20Disk-_-ASUS-_-20785002.

I'm running Windows 8.1 x64, and yes I did it with hard drives disconnected. I installed this system 3 hours ago, and installed only graphic drivers and utility programs and drivers for the ssd. One more thing im on legacy mode not uefi(cant install uefi, I guess because of the motherboard). Thanks for helping.
