Hi,
I have a problem. Bought this card about year ago and everything was fine, until i bought guild wars 2 and my fps was super low like 8 fps. Found somewhere that my card was running in PCIE 16x1 mode cause it was badly placed in Motherboard. This graphic card doesnt fit well my motherboard. My previous nvidia card slid into slot very easily. So i forced this radeon card harder and it slid further. Now it is running in PCIE 16x16 mode and framerates are higher but everytime i play a game card gets very soon very noisy , glitches start to appear on screen and game crashes or even whole pc crashes.
Setting max framerate to 35 with bandicam helps sometimes but not always. What is strange graphic card gets loud and problems start when FPS is high. It doesnt happen when framerate is low (below 30) and when it should be struggling. Any advice? Im thinking about taking card out and making it work in PCIE16x1 mode again cause it plays well all games even battlefield 4 in this mode , except for guild wars 2. I play in 3d using tridef drivers, but it happens also in 2d.
Im on win 8.1

Leave the case open when you run your PC, observe how the fan is moving. Is it too slow? Is there too much dust in the fan? Try cleaning the fan if that's the case, otherwise your GPU fan might be breaking, causing high temp for GPU thus glitches/crashes.

it looks clean. I inserted card once more not so hard. Now it runs PCIEx8 and performance is good and its not overheating. for now it will have to be enough for me

OK, found the solution. It was somehow CPU related. Graphic card was doing all the work due to CPU parking cores. Found nice tool called CoreParkinManager and set minimum CPU speed (all cores) to 100% (previously it been on 5%). Now i have good frame rate, GPU is running in PCIEx16 mode and doesn't get loud or overheat! Cool :D
