In game graphics and NVIDIA control panel?

So if I force something like AF or Ambient Occlusion in the NVIDIA control panel, do I still need to turn it on in game?

No the Nvidia settings will takeover. Technically I think you should disable similar settings in game as not to conflict. For example if you enable adaptive vsync in the control panel turnoff anti aliasing in game.

If there is the same in-game settings, you need to turn it on.
