I haven't seen this issue anywhere else so I thought some motherboard experts might be able to inform me on what this means. Earlier today I left my computer and came back to it half an hour later and the inside is glowing red. Turns out theres a BIOS error showing up saying "03". I checked the motherboard manual and it explains that 0x03 means "North Bridge initialization before microcode loading".

So I figured out that this might be an issue with the memory but its not causing any problems so far. I see the 03 message for just a moment when I put the computer into sleep mode and I get the 05 error momentarily when I shut down but I see no actual problem.

My question is, should I be concerned about this error message even though my computer doesn't seem to be working any differently? Also, what can I do to try and fix this error without taking things apart?

Basically believe it's just telling you the NB is starting back up, if you have a post led you'll see it run through a number of codes as the rig itseldf boots

Thats what it looks like to me but I've had this computer for over 2 years and I never noticed the post led light up while the computer is actually on and functioning. Thats why I was concerned about the situation.

It does it going into sleep mode. all others with the same error code claim they're unable to go into sleep mode or shut off their computer unless they hold the power button but I'm not having that problem. Thats why its so confusing.

Have you contacted the manufacturer, it may be an issue known to them
