I Hope this is the right section for this particular question.
I just bought BF4, and noticed that multiplayer for me is almost unplayable.
I can play The campaign on ultra max settings just fine, but when i join a server, my fps goes all over the place.
I unparked all my cores, using a program i found and that helped somewhat. But multiplayer for me is still almost unplayable. I Turned off vsync, and dropped the quality to low still the same problem.

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED 2048MB
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 AM3 3.4Ghz
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4gb DDR3

I Just realized i should have 8gb of ram running, but my Windows is only picking up 4.
Ok After Re-seating the ram Windows is picking up 8gb now. I Will Try running bf4 now with 8gb.

Solution
When you install Battlefield 4, there should be 2 shortcuts. One saying Battlefield 4 and another saying Battlefield 4 (x64). The 64 bit version is the one you should be using.

Here are some steps you should try to improve performance in the game.

1. Download all the latest drivers for your GPU
2. Monitor your GPU and CPU load and temperatures while playing the game online. Use a program called Speccy to do this since it takes minimal resources to run. Your issue may be that the CPU isn't powerful enough for online play since the online play is more CPU intensive than GPU intensive.
3. Try to lower the resolution of the game rather than the graphics settings since the games graphics settings don't seem to change the performance much...
is it any better with lower resolution? have you used a different browser? Is everything up to date? browsers, windows, bios, etc. firewalls? there is a lot to consider here. Heat/temps of CPU and GPU when gaming?...

I suggest you download HWmonitor to find that out, and or CoreTemp.

Hope that helps. Also check system information to double check how much physical ram is running in your system. To do this, click start and type in msinfo32.exe in the search bar of the start menu.

Lastly, check which type of Windows operating system you're using with the System information tool. If its 32bit, it won't be able to use more than 4gb and you would have to upgrade your Windows to a 64bit OS.

Sometimes its difficult to observe all the possibilities that may be causing a computer problem so its better to post a thread to make sure you didn't leave anything out.
