I just got done building it today and no matter what i do it is using 75% and more "ALL THE TIME" no matter what i am doing it does not matter. And i have added everything up i am running and it all adds up to around 1GB or less of memory NOT 7GB!!1 Is my memory broken or something? I feel like i am going to need to have 32GB of Memory just to be able to play Pac-Man lmao! and if i am lucky to somehow get 64GB of Memory i may be able to play Pac-Man ANNNNNNNND get on Facebook also! :D  lmao

PS
I am not running any background programs or any useless applications in the task manager or anything just primary things like Windows related things, AVG, and such.

Your Pc will consume the Ram for the tasks It is running in the background, no matter how many Rams you add in it. The more task will be there the more ram your Pc will consume. Sometimes when you buy a branded Pc or new Pc the updates and more different task will be running the background without any precaution notice. just avoid them for a while let those task completed you will be all fine.

mmmmm - consume the Ram.

Look in Task Manager. See what your ram allocation is.

If you can't understand this then I don't think I can help you. You need to be knowledgeable.

Take your PC to a PC shop.

Allocation is the total consumption of your Memory after shared with applications, the remaining what is left share it.

If you right click on the taskbar, choose taskmanager - there is a tab that shows total RAM and % of RAM used.

http://prntscr.com/4tsrri

I only have Windows 8.1 open for that screen shot.

You can not expect everyone to know everything i don't have time to set down all day and mess with my PC. When i have costumers ask me questions about a Transmission or Bore size i still tell them the information they need. :)  I just want to learn, that is all. :)

That is really high RAM utilization. If you go to the processes tab - it will show you the applications you have running. Look for high memory utilization (you can sort the list). Also, look at the start up tab for items that may not be needed.

On my computer, I was running email, 3 different browsers and I have several items loaded into memory. Typically when I first boot, the memory is about 2-3GB utilization out of 8GB. You will never have 0 utilization because you have the Operating System loading and stuff like printer drivers, etc...

Not an expert on memory nor did I read the other comments but are you sure you plugged them into the right slots? Have you applied the correct BIOS settings? Are you lacking any drivers?

Dont worry man, even if people are not sure of their answer it is still much appreciated :)  I Downloaded all the Drivers and such, they are in slots 1 and 3because they are dual channel. I think it was doinf this because it was the first time starting my PC up after i updated everything.
