When this happens sometimes I loose the extender signal, other times I do not loose it but cannot access settings. In any case this cannot be a good thing. It usually happens after I re-plug in both the router and extender within an hour or two (prior to that everything seems fine). When this issue occurs, all lights on the extender are normal and green. Here are the model numbers of the two devices:

Netgear WN2500RP extender receiving 2 ghz and transmitting 5 ghz. Ultimately good results, with no less than 2 Mbps anywhere in the apartment, usually 6-12.

AT&T router- NVG589 It's an n router and it's WPS light is quickly blinking red.

thoughts? If you need additional details I will provide them. I use inSSIDer 4 and I can see the 5 ghz signal when it's working. We live in a very congested apartment complex with a lot of interference on the 2 ghz but not much on the 5 ghz.

Also FYI: I have four devices hooked up to the wifi other than the TV, PS4, and other TV which are hardwired. These are two phones and two laptops. My laptop will not connect to 5 ghz but thats ok. My only concern here is the blinking red light haha
