I recently purchased a 4k monitor to take advantage of my sli Titans. I'm trying to get as much performance as I can out of them and I noticed that my second ones PCIe speed was way lower than the first ones.
The second one is running 2.5 gb/s where the first card is running the full 8 gb/s.
Is this hurting me in anyway? At the moment it's seeming like sli isn't really doing all that much compared to a single card.

Thanks for any help!

if you have the cards in the very top slot and the one third from the bottom, I don't see a bandwidth issue.

It shows them both in 8x which is what I intended. I was just curious as to why my second card always reads 2.5 gb/s when my first one reads full 8.
Is this normal?

Yes, that reading is not as such correct. The bandwidth will be X8/X8 which the cards will be running at the same speed (well, almost).

your not missing out on much, the only beneficial upgrade would be to LGA 2011-3/2011 and go X16/X16 config!

Glad to have helped.
