My pc only uses 2 cores instead of 4 in msconfig its fine says im using all 4 but on BIOS settings and CPU-Z it says only 2

Its only got 2 cores but 4 threads. So what youre seeing is normal. Its not a quad CPU.

Thats because it doesnt have 4 cores. It has 2 cores and 4 threads

Q4'2012. Processor Number, i3-2105. # of Cores, 2. # of Threads, 4.

That's because it only has two cores, plus hyperthreading. Two physical cores plus two virtual cores.

Yeah , i posted this thread a long time ago , sorry for not responding earlier , when i posted this thread i thought the i3 had 4 cores but after a while i got into pc gaming and components in general .
