Recently i updated to Catalyst Driver 14.9

Last night it was working just fine. Then today after I turned on my PC to play Dota 2, it suddenly went BSOD on me. At first i thought it was the temp of my CPU. So i opened Speccy and the temp was around 54C (Same as the reading on my Bios) w/c is like my everyday CPU temp. Then suddenly after i closed Speccy it went BSOD again. Did this a couple of times and even tried to Open other games like Dragon Age: Origins and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and the moment the "loading screen" for the game appears, it directly goes to BSOD. I tried opening Adobe CS:6 and it also gave me the same results.

Some things you need to know:

    >>I used memtest but it said there were no problems
    >>The Processor is newly bought and was installed as an upgrade from my previous A4-5300
    >>Also installed a new cooler, Gammaxx S40 didn't fit at first but was able to make it fit (although a bit too tight i think)
    >>Google chrome keeps on crashing. Also having problems loading pages that uses flash and will suddenly go into BSOD

Do you have a system restore point prior to the occurrence of the BSOD?

I do but, i would reserve it as a last result. I would like to know the reason why the BSOD occured because w/o knowing, i might do the same mistake again.

I ran the "Auto Tuning" from Catalyst Overide then set it to 4500mhz just to see if it worked. Reverted back to stock speeds after a few hours since i was reserving the overclock once i buy a Better RAM and GPU.

I have a DeepCooler GAMMAXX S40 installed before i overclocked.

Any programs that let you change the speed / overclock of the CPU or card will crash your system. Upload the dmp files somewhere then post the link

All the links are posted above on my 1st post and I have indicated everything there.

Also as I indicated, the clock speed is back to stock speed.

When you said "installed", did you mean Software, Driver, or Hardware.

I could not find any actual memory .dmp file to look at. only a summary of the errors. if you are still having issued, put the actual memory .dmp file on a public server to be looked at with a windows debugger.

Also, I think the amd catalyst 14.9 driver was broken

I'm having the same problem and I just installed the new Catalyst Driver update (14.9). I can run safe mode fine but my computer tends to lock up or BSOD when I'm downloading from Steam or watching videos on YouTube. My guess is 14.9 isn't compatible with something in windows...

I'll try, to get the dmp files. but the BSOD attacks comes so often even before i could actually finish copying the log.

run malwarebytes scan and see if it thinks AMDH264Enc32.dll is a malware file.
here is the debug info on the file:

----------
ok, I think you were running Raptr's gaming platform in a 32bit emulation under the WOW64 subsystem
and the game platform is infected with malware and It somehow caused a bugcheck.
you want to remove the AMDH264Enc32.dll

but I am not sure.

-----------

looking at your bughceck data. What hosting operating system are you running?
This looks like windows 7 running on a emulator, hypervisor, or virtualization software.

well whatever you are running, you might want to look at the file
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI Technologies\Multimedia\AMDh264Enc32.dll
http://www.herdprotect.com/amdh264enc32.dll-531f8de00b8...
guess it could be malware.

is this some 32bit gaming platform from raptr ?
maybe a bugcheck generated from within the SysWow64 subsystem?
(I have never seen one of those)
