My phone charger has been through quite a rough few months. Today, they finally stopped working... Not because I had ripped the cable to shreds or tore out the plug from its housing, though. The two raised parts of the Micro USB plug on my charging cable have become stuck in my phone. I know this because those same parts are gone from the charger I've been using, and a regular charger will not fit all the way into the slot on the phone (it will go halfway before stopping, likely because of the parts inside).

Is there any way I can (get somebody to) fix this or should I just get a new phone? (I'm way beyond warranty at this point.)

Pics would help.

You may be able to do something with a very fine pair of tweezers, and failing that, it's possible that the whole USB connector in the phone can be replaced.
