Hi everyone!
I just bought a brand new Asus Nvidia GTX 780 OC, because my last gpu died, it did not give any video signal, the monitor recognized it was connected but there was no signal. In this case its different, because I connected the 8 pin and the 6 pin of the GPU and I tripled checked its connected on the pcie of my mobo. The 2 green leds of the pin connecters lights up and when I turn on my PC the fans work great, but here is the problem, I will try to explain step by step.
1) when my PC is off my tv shows "no HDMI signal" obviously.
2) I turn on my PC and the "no HDMI signal" goes away, it stays black for 3 sec aprox but then the "no HDMI signal" comes back again. Nothing appeared on the screen on those 3 sec, not the Mobo screen neither the BIOS if I press f2... nothing!

could it be that I have to configure something first on my windows so it can recognize the HDMI connection? should I try DVI or somthing? the thing is that it appears that the pc gets frozen or something because normally my reset botton works but since I connected the new GPU and all of this happened it isnt working anymore.

Needless to say I havent had the chance to install the drivers or even loading my windows.

P.D. The tv works fine and the HDMI cable aswell I tested them on a laptop. Sorry for my crappy english! :(

My Computer:
Processor: fx-8350
Mobo: Asrock extreme3 990fx
Windows 7 64bits
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 (2*4GB) 2133Mhz
Power supply: 650W 80plus

Oh, almost forgot, yes I have reseted the CMOS as the manual says and taking out the battery, neither of them worked. I have reseted the cmos with the GPU connected and without it aswell and nothing. Also I tried disconecting all my fans and even disconecting one of the RAMs to see if maybe it was a problem of my power supply but that wasnt it either.

Try it on a monitor.

I would try with DVI or VGA first.
