Hello everyone,

My motherboard is h81m-e it is quit small but still good.

I just bought Arctic Cooling F12 PWM CO Case Fan and I plugged it into the motherboard.

It works but its very loud I think it works on 100%. I tried to use Speedfan however it didnt pick it up, please dont tell me about bios I want to control from Windows and be able to increase the fan speed at any time.

So please let me know what should I do.

Thanks

What brand is your motherboard. If you have Asus and Asus AI Suite installed, you may go to Fan expert and choose either Standard or Silent mode.

Just ensure your fan is the correct pin header. :)

Thanks for the replay, I have downloaded Asus AI Suite 3 and It can see the Chassis fan speed however I cannot control it same with HWMonitor it can see the fan as well. However Speedfan doesn't detect it, is it any other program like Speedfan?to control Chassis fans?
Thanks

If you will open the ASUS AI Suite III, you should find the Fan Xpert 2 tab which is part of suite package.
Under Fan Xpert tab, you'll find tweaks for CPU fan & Chassis fans. Fan Xpert automatically detects the fans connect to your board:
1. Fan tuning to auto-tune the fans at best settings.
2. You may click easy tweaks on silent, standard, turbo & full speed mode.
3. You can also customize the fan settings by clicking CPU fan or Chassis fans.
- this will take you to another screen where you'll find fan curve.. (there is option at the bottom to switch CPU or chassis fan screen.)
- then you may choose smart mode or rpm mode, move sliders to adjust the fan setting, then apply.
