Can we broadcast Wifi using Ethernet connection from Desktop?
I'm using an anroid phone & i want to connect to the Wifi which is broadcasted by the desktop.

Note: It's for my desktop @ my office & i can't make a hardware changes in it.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, by googling i found that there are WiFi card to receive WiFi signal.

I have admin Privilages, Please give me an example of the WiFi card to broadcast the Ethernet because if possible i could even use it.
I guess even if i buy a WiFi card by any chance the WiFi created by the WiFi card can be connected with Android phones ?

If your desktop has a WiFi card, then yes. You'll probably need admin privileges, too.

However, your IT department will likely get VERY VERY UPSET, and it's probably a breach of security and if you screw up can break a bunch of their systems.

Ask the IT Dept to help you.

Are you a student or staff? Whatever - talk to your IT Dept.

I suggest this thread is closed now.

You are not likely to remain employed much longer if you even try to do this. Setting up a backdoor into your company's network, bypassing all their security arrangements, would be a really dumb move.
