Graphics Card: EVGA Gtx 760 SC Edition
Memory: (2x4gb) G.Skill Sniper
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 (rev 2.0)

You have enough 'advertised' wattage but that is a low quality PSU.

So do you think I shouldn't go with a 980? If so what would be an advisable upgrade?

And I assume it wouldnt be a problem considering the motherboard you have, but what is your case?

The 980 and the 760 use about the same amount of power. You'll be fine with that GPU.
