I'm using a Toshiba C600 laptop, with Mobile Intel (R) 4 Express Chipset Family and I can't seem to find the extend option, it only shows Computer Only, Duplicate and Projector Only. Please Help

if your running windows 7, please right click on the desktop then, screen resolution, then click on the correct display, then set to extend. (I'm guessing you did this already but never hurts to check.)

How is the second monitor connected? Are you trying to exent the laptop LCD and an external monitor or two external monitors?

Update the video drives for the laptop also from Toshiba. I have seen older video drivers not work properly with muliple monitors.

I'm trying to connect it to a projector. My graphics card's drivers are all up to date

That older laptop may just not support what you are trying to do with the projector. Does it send the output to the projector OK if you select duplicate? What menu are you looking at to do this in? In the display properties? Try the function keys on the keyboard see if that will allow you to switch to show different things on the screens.
