How much does "ti" improve gpu performance?

I was looking at 750 ti and 780 ti and was wondering how the 750 ti compares to other cards as i learned that the 780 ti is as good if not better than the 900 series so whats up wit dat???

TI doesn't mean anything. It is just the next step up. 750ti is the next card up from 750. The 780ti is the next card up from the 780.

Nothing special is meant by TI. Simply just that it is the next card in progression.

No, ti does not mean "higher clock speed". Some ti versions are completely different cards than the non-ti version. Clock speed really has nothing to do with it.
