I'm looking at optimizing my new system and I was wondering, can windows 7 ultimate (64-bit) apply TRIM to SSDs in a RAID 0 setup? I'm using an Asus m5a99fx motherboard, the chipset is SB950...

Instead of trying to convince people that RAID is a bad idea why don't you just answer the question? Nobody likes a "Tech thumper" (aka the Bible thumper of the Tech world). People come to these sites looking for specific answers to these questions and it is extremely disappointing when I find a question that is similar to mine and instead of finding a solution I always get some dummy who swears up and down doing a RAID 0 on SSDs are a bad idea. Answer the question, don't try to convince the world it is wrong to use SSDs for a RAID 0. It is completely off topic!!!!!!!

There are many cases where the exact answer to a 'question' is something completely different than what was actually asked.

There are some cases where that might actually be of benefit. Those cases are rare.
Just the other day, there was another person who wanted to RAID 0 4 x 500GB SSD's. Why? Because his friend told him it would be 'faster'.
The 'simple answer of 'here's how you do it', would leave the user unserved, and have him coming back next week asking 'why isn't this faster?'

Very, very often, further investigation into a question is needed. Or, simply pointing the person to other data that shows...'no, what you want to do is not really a good idea'
Rather than a simple Yes/No answer to a question that maybe should not have been asked.
"Should I do this?" vs "How do I do this?"

But that's OK. You continue on your path, and I'll continue on mine.
