I need an awesome Mobo, doesn't need to be flashy or anything. But it needs to have an LGA 1155 socket for my intel core i5-3570. I don't know much about Mobo's, so if there is anything else necessary for the answer, i would gladly supply it.

ASRock H77 Pro4 <- Great board. This ATX size layout.

If ATX is too big, get this Micro-ATX version - ASRock H77 Pro4-M.

By the way, upgrading from An American Megatrends Inc. Motherboard, model DX4870, version P01-A1
How would i know, if this piece would actually be too large,
Going to buy a GTX 760, if that also might cause problems with the mobo

Board appears to be micro-ATX, you won't fit the standard ATX sized motherboard. Best to keep the sizes the same. I assume this is a Gateway desktop.

Look for Micro-ATX motherboards. Also - what is the motherboard power connector pin type? Is it the standard 20+4 pin or 24 pin?

look at the motherboard power connector and compare it to this -

This is a 20+4 pin.

Looking at it will pretty much verify it, 12 pins looks far different (size).

Actually, I've just realized, that soon I'm buying a fully modular power supply, and am almost certain it will have the plugs I'm going to need, if that's what you're looking for.
