hello there,

i was discussing on another topic;

im looking for a 1600mhz bus, lga775 , ddr2 motherboard.

i read that they supports 1600/1333 and under frequency of FBS, but it seems like a lie, as they are only rated 1333 mhz and beyond.

are they truly compatible with an 1600 mhz cpu or not ?

cuz it doesnt seems official...

thanks

i have never seen a 775 motherboard with a 1600mhz processor .. the highest the g41 chipsets on most 775 motherboard supports is 1333mhz and lower ,and i dont think there is a ddr2 ram that surpasses 1066mhz in fsb speed ..

there is one core 2 extreme that goes up to 1600mhz but its obsolete and you pretty much wont get any to buy so it makes no sense in going for a 1600mhz 775 motherboard .. i see that the core 2 extreme QX9775 goes there ,, thats the only one and the ddr 2 will only reach that level via overclocking
