Now for the second problem I have with this game :S :

Is this game poorly optimized or something? My GPU is running between %90 and %100, at 80-90 degrees C. It's extremly hot, specially for this sort of game and it sometimes causes freezes. Any ideas?

More about : high temps fifa

The game is utilizing the GPU, and the temps are fine too, 90C peaks (not continous) is not very hot.

No, 90ºC are not safe tems at all, since the GTX 680 maxes out at 98ºC. And it's pretty much continuos. I'm telling you the game freezes for a few seconds everytime I play for more than half an hour or so. When I touch the GPU I feel it's much warmer than with any other game, even Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4. Something must be wrong with FIFA.

The problem is not the game but the GPU.
The GTX 680 has temp issues.
One thing that might help is replaceing the thermal paste with something better/new like arctic silver 5.
Thermal paste has a life cycle of around 1 year (sometimes less depending on other factors).

Personally, I change my thermal paste twice a year :D .

Does the GPU overheat (90C+ continous) when stress testing like with FutureMark or Valley? Also, replacing the thermal compound, as mentioned, should help. The game is is freezing probably due to high temps.

+1 on the stress test. Do one while keeping an eye on it, report back on how it goes.

Don't worry too much, AFAIK your PC should shut down automatically before your GPU goes into Chernobyl meltdown mode, although permanent high temps obviously aren't great for lifetime.
