Building My First Computer

I have never built a PC before. I don't know if all these parts will work together or not?

CPU : Intel Core i7-4790K Processor - Quad Core, 4.0GHz (8MB Cache, up to 4.10 GHz), 2 Memory Channels, 16 Max PCI Express Lanes

Motherboard : ASUS Z97-A ATX MOTHERBOARD - LGA1150 Socket, Intel Z97 Express Chipset, 4x DDR3, Max. 32GB, 2x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16, Total 7x PCI Slots

Does everything work together? Please let me know

Yes it is all compatible but wheres the graphics card? And UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you buy a extremely low quality psu for a nice build like that spend the money and get a psu that is at least 80+ bronze certified. I wouldent even let that psu near my computer.

with the ram make sure it two matched dimms. the system will run with one by it be in one channel ram mode not dule channel mode..you may take a little speed hit there.

Thank you for all the input. I will look into a new psu as well as a graphic card. Do you have any suggestions on a graphics card?

The SSD is only 2.5"? - Desktop standard requires 3.5".

Also, I feel that the motherboard would get neglected in this build because it only has expansion slots for PCI-e x 2 (Only two PCI-e slots).

That depends on what type of performance you are looking to achieve and how much money you have to spend. Are you gaming at 1080p? Do you want to max every game you play? What do you consider an acceptable frame rate?
