I have a second computer that i use for basic stuff.
Got a Nvidia Dell 8800 GTX refference card.
Very good exterior condition.

But i can't get it to work.

Tried it on 2 different computers and monitors.

PC1: (where i need it to work)
E5300
Foxconn G31MXP-K Socket 775
1x1 GB DDR2 Crucial 667 Mhz
Seasonic S12II 500W / 34 A
LCD monitor via DVI/VGA adapter.

PC2:
2700k
MSI B75IA-E33 mITX
2x2 GB Crucial Tactical Tracers 1600 mhz 8 CL
Silverstone SFX 600W / 50 A
LED 32" Samsung TV via DVI/HDMI adapter.

So this is what i've tried so far:
- fresh windows install 7 x64
- i have a MSI 9800 GX that worked on the PC1 with 331.xx drivers with no problems.
- I've tried the clear CMOS from the bios, no image.
- tried both dvi plugs, still nothing.
- I've did the clear CMOS manually, with the jumper, removed battery for a few minutes, discharged the caps. Still no image.
- Then i booted into windows 7 x64 via the integrated chipset from the motherboard.
- Looked on nvidia's site and saw that the last official drivers for the 8800 gtx are 340.xx so mine being older should have worked. Then i said ok, let's update.
- But it won't let me update giving an error that it doesn't see any gpu.
- Tried to update manually from the device manager, still no success (picture)

- And i can't open the current installed nvidia 331.xx control panel, the same, it can't see any gpu and gives an error.
- Thought maybe the adapters are bad but they work with the GX2.

So yeah, don't know what else to do.

Let's say that the board is not compatible with it but the gx2 works and it's from the same age.
Then tried on the PC2, that thing should see anything, still nothing.

Any input is of great help.
Thank you.
