My i5 overheat, but allow me to tell you my story first. Just wanted to play Star Wars: The old Republic @ ultra, not much, not the moon on a stick and most defo not crysis 3 Ultra 4k and all that other mega fps stuff

Build!

MoBo: Asus H81 M-Plus
CPU: Intel I5 4670
Ram: KingstonHyper-X 1600 2x4 GB
Case: Zalman ZM-T3
HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB
GPU: Sapphire R9 270X

Spent the day downloading Sw:Tor , nout wrong there.

Started seeing, and feeling, and heck, smelling even, wrong stuff. Much, much heat, CPU @ 70° withing seconds of having logged in the game itself ( got told that is one of the heavier areas of the game , but there are heavier areas around.. ) GPU stayed happily stable around the 50°

hit the Swtor forums. Aftermarket cooler seems the main solution I'm getting proposed.

Off to amazon again. Choice falls upon ARCTIC Freezer 13 - MX-4 paste pre-applied by them.

Mounted the thingy. Now the 70° and case accusing the heat fall upon after around half an hour, which is somewhat better but still a major pain in the backside.

What else could I do? Please no dust stuff as the thing has been assembled last week, so ofc has to be something else ( I think, at least. )

Thanks for reading me out.

P.S. What really gets me, is that my 2010 off-the-shelf HP before this won't get me at ultra playing this, ofc, but gives me a decent medium and there's much much less heat than this. Was running with a dual core I3 ( stock cooler ) - 4 GB ram - and an HD 5450... :(

Solution
You have a heatsink with a 92mm Fan. Those are for processors under 3.0 Ghz. Go fo a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo.
It has a120mm fan an will do the job.
