I'm probably going to make alot of folks LOL!! I feel sooo dumb right now . . .

OK - I've entered a whole new world that I didn't realize I wasn't a part of! wireless adapters!

so I have a usb broadband modem from Verizon for my internet. It has to (apparently) run through the verizon software on my computer to actually get internet. I want to "hotspot" my PC so I can get this internet connection throughout my house.

I just spent hours learning/watching/reading about the win 7 virtual wifi miniport adapter and actually can see it in "network adapters" on my PC - but only when my external wireless adapter is plugged in. I apparently don't have a 'wireless interface' on my PC ! Silly me. I thought it was just a software thing. Sooooo

Two Qs:

Can I configure the Win 7 virtual adapter via my netgear wnda3100 wireless adapter to the rest of my house? my tablet (android) sees the network but won't connect to the internet

OR:

I'm trying another route!

Is there any way to send the internet signal from the modem - via PC - to my router so my other computers/tablets can pick up the signal?

Router: D-Link DIR 655
PC: HP Pavilion a4310f (http://www.qvc.com/HP-Pavilion-A4310-Desktop-PC.product...)

I'm sooo lost! Thanks in advance

Kelly
