happens, sometimes the graphic driver/hardware does not respond when it is hung. Make sure you have the various windows updates, windows put in more checks for hung graphics driver/hardware.

All you can do is update the graphics driver, and disable unused sound support in the graphic driver via device manager.
(and reduce the overclock to the GPU if you are overclocking, Or reduce the PCIe BIOS overclock it your system has that option.)
