Hi everyone!
A while ago I bought the R9 290x, with the idea of upgrading the rest of my system later. I tried using the card for the sake of it, but as I expected it didn't work properly on my old mobo. It actually often crashed.
Now I recently updated my mobo and CPU, and although the crashes are gone, playing a game like Tomb Raider on ultra settings (without the shady hair effects that is) gets me barely to 30fps.
CS:GO actually performs worse then when it did with my old card, playing at 60fps but dropping down to 30 with every shot.
Advice from friends goes no further than "well mate it's AMD lol", so not that's not helping
Any thoughts?

CPU: i5-4690K
RAM: 8192MB
Mobo: Asus z87-c
Display: 1920x1080 (60Hz)
PSU: 650W (which should be more than enough)
