Hello everyone,

Problem: My laptop is crashing randomly for the last 2 months. Sometimes it crashes after 4 hours sometimes after 1 hour. It happens quicker while playing games. Temps are all fine CPU 70C GPU 50C. I brought PC to repair to apply new Thermal paste cleaned everything out. What's weird though is once it crashes it sometimes crashes several times. Meaning PC restarts (after crash) i get to windows it crashes again. Then it can go again for several hours without crashing and crashes again....

I tried reformatting 3 times no results updated all drivers to newest and still no results.

Can anyone tell me what it could be ? Power Supply maybe or RAM? How do i check?

I'm losing my mind please help me! :(

Thanks

I would say do a memory dance, Remove one of the sticks memory and if it crashes then test the other one on its own.

Also when the system crashes does it shut down completely and you have to manually turn it on or does it restart on its own?

Thanks Paul I posted several Errors i found:

Critical: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. (Something about Kernal Power)

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
amdkmafd

I made screenshots:

Its a laptop... therefore you think it could be the battery that is broken?
I should also mention that I had a weird issue today where after the crash my PC would stay black.

I had to follow the guide online and reset the battery by taking it out pressing 15 sec. on the power botton with the battery out then plug in without the battery in the laptop and it worked again.
Do you think that is relevant to the problem?

Is it the battery or the adapter? I'm quite confused :/

Thanks for the help Paul I really appreciate it

Cyklos can you be more specific on how the system crashes/shuts down.

Also what kind of motherboard do you have on the system?
As the driver that failed to load is showing AMD i am not seeing any of your specs show from AMD wondering to see if your motherboard has anything related to AMD Chipset.

So it shuts down mostly when i play games randomly sometimes after 1 hour sometimes after 4 really depends. And it restarts automatically most of the time. I dunno which motherboard i have it is not listed in my order. I will contact MSI tomorrow and ask.

But if it should fail again it could also be the hard drive correct? If it is the power adapter or even internal what can I do in order to fix the problem? I'm running a Seagate diagnostic tool now in order to find out if my hard drive is problematic.
