8gb or 16gb worth it?

Currently I have 8gb of gskill ram installed at 1600mhz. How much of an improvement will I see if I upgrade to 16gb? Is it worth upgrading just for bragging rights?

It depends upon what you are using the computer for. If you utilize Photoshop CS6 or other programs like that, you will use the RAM. For most gaming applications, 8GB is the max that would be used. In my opinion - you can never have enough RAM - but how much are you willing to spend for it.

I run 16GB on my main rig - I use Adobe CS6 master suite, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio Pro and a few other apps. My 2nd computer on the desk has 8GB RAM. 99% of the time - neither computer is at 100% RAM utilization.
