I'm currently using a old inspiron 520 desktop from 2012 or something i got it prebuilt (yes, i know this is a sin in the builder community) and it has i3 in it and was wondering if I could pull the mobo for use in my new build coming up soon. The question is more of, is it wise to do so? if so i could get better components overall.

More about : pull motherboard prebuilt

Well i attempted to find a link but since i didn't personally buy it so i don't have any of the documentation or hard specs. In control panel it says my Cpu is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550@3.20GHz. also, 6gb of ram (5.8gb usable) if that helps narrow it down.

oh, well, that is a first gen i3, so no, its not worth keeping the mobo from it.
