Hey guys!

I'm wondering how I would be able to overclock this factory-overclocked GPU even further? I know it's possible to get the 970's nearly 100% up to speed with stock 980's. Right now, the Gigabyte's OC'd 970 sits at 1179 base, 1329 boost, and 7010 mhz memory clock.

To be quite honest, I'm really not sure what any of these mean nor how I'd go about changing them safely in MSI Afterburner (or the one Gigabyte supplied me on their disk). I know it's as simple as moving tabs, but I'd rather not try and experiment. I'd rather have an expert's opinion on to where I should clock each section so I don't blow up my recent $750 purchase of these two cards.

Hopefully someone can help!

Use MSI Afterburner.

Core Clock = +150
Memory Clock = +200

After this run GPU stress testing tools like Unengine Valley and run a benchmark.

Compare your benchmark when running at default clocks and overclocks.

Look if there are significant improvement.

The benchmark showed pretty much a steady 60fps, aside from initial loading dips. Question: What's a safe GPU Temperature? It was pushing 60 C, but I don't know what is too high with these overclocks.

60C is good for Overclocking.
60~70 will be the ideal range for safety.
