X55 HOTAS spinning plane out of control

I just got a x55 and pluged it in so excited for star citizen. The first time I loaded up arena commander I started spinning out of control. After I went into the configuration a little and tried to rebind my keys I could control pitch with the throttle and roll with the stick but that's as far as I got. I tried it in other games (ArmA 2, XPlane ext.) and still the same problem. After heavely modifying the controls in ArmA I could finally control the plane using the thrusters and joystick correctly. I still can't see the problem with SC. I redownloaded all the drivers and software but still nothing. Hope someone can help!

checked the Saitek (I think I remember that's who makes that) forums for solutions?
Also the Arma and XPlane forums.
Lastly, might be worth contacting the joy stick's tech support as it may be faulty. I did Not buy that stick, in part, because of all the problems I read about.

Sounds like a hardware conflict with something else. Try unplugging anything in a USB port except mouse,keyboard and joystick. Last resort: unplug mouse and/or keyboard while leaving joystick plugged in.
Can't remember the game right now, but within the last two years had a similar problem loading one of my then new games, and had to unplug the joystick to get everything else working correctly. May be the reverse for your system.

Sorry for the late answer but I didn't have time. I tried to unplug everything and nothing changed. Its like the controls are switched. The throttle has fire buttons on it and the joystick fire button is the afterburner and when i push the joysticks forward it ups the speed
