Long story short; basically I just picked up a brand new HIS R9 290 IceQ X2 from Memory Express for $285 (reg $509). :D

There isn't much information out there about this card, only a couple tech site reviews and a handful of customer reviews. From what I could gather, it's a pretty good card - one of the coolest and quietest running 290's on the market and seemingly well-built. HIS has been making Ati cards for quite a long time now, so I figure their reputations stands.

So does anyone here have any first hand experience with one of these cards? Any thoughts or experience with any HIS cards, in general?

Thanks, :)

MEC.

HIS cards are usually pretty good, actually I've not heard of a bad one. Good buy.

I have a R9 280X Turbo Boost edition, and I really like it. It was a toss-up between it, and the MSI Gaming edition, and I ended up choosing the HiS because of the overall superior cooling solution (particularly for the VRMs.)
