Okay so I've looked everywhere and tried everything.

Here is my setup:

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard. There is a spot for two audio jacks in the front (sound + microphone) and a spot for five audio jacks in the back (sound + microphone + 3 others that are unused). I have Realtek HD Audio installed, and under the advanced settings, I am splitting both rear and front audio to have separate inputs.

In the back, I have normal speakers. In the front, I have HyperX Cloud headsets.

The problem is very annoying: people on Skype or recorded audio will have output of sound from my headset.

I know for sure my microphone isn't picking up the noise, because 1) the microphone is detachable and removing it will still cause the issue, 2) muting the microphone will still cause the issue. Unplugging the microphone jack will solve the issue, but I want to be able to use the microphone.

Stereo mixing is disabled. I have also tried removing the speakers and just trying the headset sound + microphone in both the front and the back jacks.

Here is the weirdest part: I solved the problem in a way that is not preferable, but may give some indication of what the problem is and how to fix it correctly. I solved the problem by plugging in the headset microphone into the back jack of my motherboard and the sound jack to the front header of my motherboard.

Now I don't understand why that solves the issue, but I can't leave it like this because it ruins my current setup.
