First build:
- Bad choice of PSU. I recommend a PSU from Tier 1-2. Here's the list to assist you out.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html
-Where's the SSD? Get at least 120GB.
-Change the RAM ato the one in the second build.
-Replace the CPU cooler with the Corsair H100i.
-You don't need the Black Series HDD.

Second build:
-PSU is a great choice but not sufficient. I recommend getting at least 800-850W. Try the Antec HCGit has a red and black theme.
-Where's the SSD?
-EVGA has been having complaints with the GTX 970. So best is to play safe and get either Gigabyte or Asus.
-I would personally get a Z97-A motherboard instead if that' shout price range.

My take on a i7-5930K and the GTX 970.

No need to spend more for a system that's overkill for your needs.

Why bad choice of psu? Thats a Corsair AX 760 which is in tier 1.
Why should i replace the cpu cooler? That has thicker radiator than the h100i
I think z97 is better than x99 for gaming. And dont you think that x99 build you provided is so expensive with more than $1100+ just for the CPU,Mobo and ram?

Budget $1400-1700, mentioned on my first post. I think i7 4790k will be my best choice.
