AMD A6-7400K
-FM2+
-R5 GPU
-65W
-KAVERI
-$88

AMD A8-6600K
-FM2
-HD 8570D
-100W
-RICHLAND
-$106

They have different architecture the A6-7400K gives overclocking freedom w/ R5 GPU in 65W in low price while A8-6600K has higher price and watts, what bothers me is the difference of R5 and 8570D, I plan to play basic gaming on low on 768p

A8 6600K, though I don't suggest buying APU's. Grab a phenom X4 and save up for a decent graphics card.

5800k is the best bang for buck still. the 6800k and 7850k are only marginally faster for much more money. for the price you can get a 5800k+hyper 212 for the same price as a 6800k and blow it out of the water and match a 7850k.

the real advantage of apus comes to laptops or ultra small form factor... though this can limit overclocking.

if your not interested in ultra small form factor, like said you would be much better off getting cpu+gpu setup. though i think the pentium is much better if gaming is your only goal. that a6 is still a dual core cpu and although based on faster steamroller cores at 3.5ghz, they are not nearly as fast as haswell cores found in the newer pentium parts. on top of that, a simple r7-250x is about twice as fast as the igpu in the 7400k and much faster than any igpu known except the ps4/xbone apus.

are you on a strict budget? something like this would overall be much faster for not that much more money than a $90 apu plus $50 motherboard. though i still think overall you would be much better off getting a gtx750ti for just right about $100(on a good deal) and matching it with the g3258. you can very simply overclock the g3258 to over 4.0ghz with a simple cpu cooler like a $16 cooler master tx3.
