HDMI does not support 120Hz

It supports 120Hz but the cables/inputs only support 60Hz, that's the problem (HDMI. 1.4b supports 120Hz however, but it's not commonly used yet).

so the overall problem is the hdmi input on the tv?

And for the future, how do I know if a Tv support more 60hz throu pc input ?

All T.V.'s HDMI inputs are 60Hz.
