UPDATE 1: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kQRVLk - changed the motherboard to a H97M

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7ZXbVn

I based this from here but changed some parts.

So, these are the things I will do with this PC:
- play MMORPGs like FFXIV, PSO2, Aion, Dragon Nest, LoL, etc
- play games like Skyrim, FFXIII, and Dragon Age: Inquisition (when they come out)
- play games beyond my usual genre (e.g. Battlefield 4)
- watch anime and movies (with surround sound - is it capable?)
- hook into a 42" TV 1080p
- illustrate with photoshop (soon) - comics

The GPU supports resolution up to 4K but honestly I'm fine with PS3/PS4 quality graphics.

1. Is my PSU more than enough for this build?

2. The Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4) ram seems to have 2 versions? Is everything compatible as long as it's ddr3 1600?

3. What do I do with this?

4. Am I paying too much for what I need(especially the GPU)? The price of the build is 850$ in my country and I'm fine with the price.

Is it better to go for higher end GPU knowing that I would only play games at 1920x1080 resolution max/ultra/highest setting possible at most and I don't think I would even bother with SLI, surround display, overclocking, 4k, 3D, etc? I might reconsider my build depending on the answer :l

That's it for now :D

A newbie but has been immerging myself with PC building informations :)

Thank you :D

A bit cheaper PSU but same quality.
Cheaper CPU with not really a performance hit.
Better motherboard.

Hmm not bad... I checked some store pricelist they don't seem to have the ASRock H97M Anniversary mobo. But they have the non anniversary mobo. Oh and really hard to find that PSU >.>

For the Gigabyte mobo is this it? Gigabyte H97M-D3H
One reason to add SSD is for a faster loading time right? I might reconsider since I saw a discount promo somewhere. But I'm fine with the hdd int~
From the Philippines sir.

Depends.

As for the motherboard, its a 760G chipset board, NOT designed for 6 and 8 core CPUs, those are known to overheat and throttle badly with FX6xxx and FX8xxx. Stick to 970 chipset boards (not MSI) for those CPUs.

In US you can get i5 rig with 970 but in philippines you will only get R9 270x with the same budget.
and one of the problem is the availability of those components. thats why its hard to build a PC on PH.
you can get these parts on gilmore ave. there stores around like PCHUB.
one last advice if you can wait for GTX 960 it would be great.

goodluck sa bubuoin mo.

What's the advantage of a H97 mobo compared to the MSI H81M-P33 V2 mobo?
Gigabyte Ga H97M- D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 will do right?

Thanks!
Lol. Mas gusto ko parin yung build ko >.>
Anong version ng GPU ba yung toxic or vapor? When to expect price changes?

I'll stick to 40k budget. So, better mobo (40k) or ssd(42k)?
*128gb yung SSD diba?

To everyone, I'm still looking for suggestions.
Should I change my mobo to an H97 and follow my build or should I go with patrichpachich's build?

Hopefully I could finish this build within this month ^^

I see. So, if I change my mobo to that and stick with Zotac GTX 970, will it perform better than a PS4 and can I say it's future-proofed? My older brother will get a Lenovo Y50 this month, how much will I outperform that? Is it true he can 4k game with that o.o?

Maka nvidia ako lol xD How much kung sayo?

Noob question, amd or nvidia? We always choose nvidia. Never tried an AMD PC :l

Sweet. Right now, I have almost no reason not to choose Zotac GTX 970. What do you think, does my build satisfy slightly above what I need or is it more of a want?

Sayang naman sana may bumili kasi baka sa Zotac GTX 970 na ako xD

Ok that's a relief.

If you were to build me a PC based on the descriptions I listed, how will it go? Feel free to decide everything. Afterwards, I'll tell why I asked this.
Just to repeat, I play mostly MMORPGs, and then sometimes would like to play graphics heavy games such as Battlefield 4. And then everything else is on my original post.

I'm truly grateful for your replies sir Novuake and of course that also goes to all of you guys.
